Bukit Beruntung, Selangor; May 1: Nur Durriyah Damian, Sarfina Vinota Seretharan and Marcus Lim extended their lead in the SportExcel Premier-Elite Junior Golf Circuit standings after picking up  their second consecutive wins at the second leg of the circuit in Bukit Beruntung Golf & Country Club yesterday.

The trio had earlier picked up victories in the opening leg of the Premier-Elite circuit in Kundang Lakes Golf & Country Club last month. Durriyah carded a score of 75 to beat Yong Mei Khuan by five strokes in the girls’ under-20 category while Sarfina sealed a narrow one-shot win over Jolene Kam with a round of 79 in the girls’ under-15 division. Marcus shot a nine-hole score of 50 to trump Tengku Muzaffar Tengku Masly by seven strokes in the mixed under-nine category.

SportExcel executive director Teng Mui Ngee announced during the prize presentation that a leading financial institution has agreed in principle to title sponsor the Premier-Elite circuit from its third leg onwards.
