Seri Kembangan: Regional golf apparel provider Crest Link will continue to dress the Malaysian national team after extending their sponsorship through 2013.
The sponsorship agreement with the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) is a strong indication of Crest Link’s continued commitment and efforts towards cultivating amateur golfing talents in Malaysia.
“We hope that Crest Link’s support for the national squad would in a small way help drive our best amateurs to reach greater heights that we can all be proud of, while ensuring that our golfers look trendy, stylish and fashionable on the golf course,” said Crest Link’s founder Raymond Yee during a press conference at The MINES Wellness Hotel on Tuesday.
MGA president Admiral (R) Tan Sri Dato’ Setia Mohd Anwar Mohd Nor added: “The Malaysian Golf Association is grateful for the support given by Crest Link since 2010 and it our hope that more private corporations will come forward to emulate Crest Link’s commitment and determination to promote and develop the sport of golf in the country.”
Australian Greg Chalmers, who will be teeing up at the CIMB Classic alongside fellow Crest Link brand ambassadors Thaworn Wiratchant and Shaaban Hussin, took some time off his practice session to meet and greet members of the national squad.
Highly popular for their efficient moisture absorption qualities, Crest Link has gained recognition as a top apparel and accessories brand in Malaysia and around the region with their involvement in several prominent professionals tournaments such as the Maybank Malaysian Open, Barclays Singapore Open and China PGA Championship.
