Puchong: Aqil Afiq Rosli and Alethea Cordelia will get the chance to rub shoulders with the world’s best golfers after securing their berths at the pro-am tournament of the Maybank Malaysian Open 2014.
The privilege is a massive incentive for the junior golfers, who topped the boys’ and girls’ category respectively at the conclusion of the Maybank Junior Golf National Camp at Kinrara Golf Club on Wednesday.
A total of 75 junior golfers from across Malaysia took part in the intensive three-day camp conducted by resident coach V. Gunalen with the assistance of local touring professional Akhmal Tarmizee Nazari.
The juniors underwent a series of activities to help improve their golfing techniques, build their mental strength and also to polish up their understanding of golf rules.
The camp is supported by Maybank and facilitated by the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) and GlobalOne.
