Kuala Lumpur: Kelly Tan is optimistic of a good showing at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia after a solid start to life on the LPGA Tour.
The 21-year-old from Batu Pahat, Johor may be teeing-off at the prestigious championship for the third time but will be making her professional bow when the US$ 2 million event tees off on Thursday.
Returning to Kuala Lumpur after an impressive tied-15th finish at the Reignwood LPGA Classic in Beijing, China on Sunday, Tan is looking set to retain her LPGA card for 2015 after amassing a rookie season haul of US$116,294 to-date.
Having twice finished as the leading Malaysian in 2010 and 2011 (as an amateur), Tan is hoping to make a strong impression as she tees-off as part of the six-strong Malaysian Angels.
